Golfing...

...on a Saturday. Mommy and Daddy left early this morning to go to worship practice. A few hours later, Grandpa said the magic words, "Let's go!" We jumped into his truck and we were off! We had no idea where we were going. We were just happy to be with Grandpa. We met Mommy and Daddy at the golf course. We were very happy to see Mommy and Daddy. We were also excited since we've never been to a golf course before. There was so much to see! They're a lot bigger in pawson. And there is SO much grass...oh the pawsibilities.
This is the way to the First Tee.
Daddy took me for a spin in the golf cart. Boy was that fun!
Then it was time for Daddy and Grandpa to tee off. We were off to see Uncle Bey Bey and Auntie Shila. Mommy was too busy to take pictures because she had to go get her hair cut. Why do humans have to cut their hair? Isn't it a wonder that we pups never need a hair cut?!
We had a full day and weren't able to get to anyone's blogs today but we will definitely catch up tomorrow.

Fun on a Friday

Just for fun, Daddy pulled out some organic beef jerky and wanted me to put on a little show for him and Mommy. He knows that with right treat I'll do anything, even the impossible. Here I am defying gravity. I know what this looks like but I'm not jumping, I am flying low... Super dog style.

Thankful Thursday

Daddy went straight to work after dinner tonight.
Look at all the yukon gold potatoes we harvested. That's about a third of our crop.
I'm so thankful for our potatoes and for all of Daddy's hard work. I am already thinking of all the goodies that Mommy will be making. Baked french fries, garlic mashed potatoes, basil potato salad, oven roasted potatoes, and maybe even some gnocchi. How does that sound?

Sierra's Scoop

You know how much I like sticks. Daddy knows how much I like sticks. So why do think Daddy would leave a cool stick like this lying around if I couldn't play with it? Boy was he upset! Even though I only chewed on the pointy end he threw a fit and I had to apologize. It was a gift from his friend Nelson who brought it back from Mexico. After only one bite, I could tell it would make a great chew toy. What does Daddy need a slingshot for anyways? Besides, Mommy said he will shoot his eye out!

Azure Monday

Look at what Daddy brought home with him tonight...our order from Azure Standard. The other things are for Mommy and Daddy. But can you see what I'm smelling? It's raw cheddar cheese and it was very, very yummy!
It was a cool 86 degrees today. We were surprised when we went outside for our walk and there was a cool breeze. Thank you, Mr. Sun, for giving us a little break from all your hotness.

Week twenty two in the garden

Look at how big our cantaloupes have gotten!
I was so close to leaving some pee-mail. Daddy caught me just in the knick of time.
I couldn't get over the smell of the mint.
We have lots of tomatoes. Did I mention that our tomato plants are HUGE? They are bigger than Daddy.
These onions are poisonous. They don't smell that bad.
Our peppers are doing great. I think one is ready for harvest.
The best surprise tonight was Daddy finding this watermelon. The vines spread out so far that we missed it.
Our lemon balm is growing beautifully, don't you think? Mommy uses it for tea.

Today's...

harvest included one big turnip and one big beet. Mommy says she is going to roast them and put them into a salad.
Look at the size of our cucumbers. They're almost as big as our zucchini. Not to worry friends, they are supposed to be that big. Daddy thinks it's really cool that heirloom varieties get so huge.
Sierra and I were able to go to band practice with Mommy and Daddy today. We've always wondered where they disappear to every Saturday morning. We had fun playing with Auntie Kim while Mommy sang and Daddy played guitar. They practice for Sunday morning at their church. Then we ran about a bazillion errands and finally came home like twenty hours later. We love going for car rides and playing with Auntie Kim but we were so glad to be home after a long day. After dinner, rest time, and walks, it's almost bed time for me. How did you spend your Saturday?

Fun on a Friday

After dinner and walkie time, Mommy and Daddy said the magic words, "Let's go!" We were going to get frozen yogurt. What a treat! We rarely go out to eat and hardly ever go out for dessert. Daddy's cup is on the right. Can you believe he got something that he couldn't share with us? How could he!
Mommy got strawberry yogurt and it was delicious! We had a ton of fun eating our frozen yogurt under the stars.

Thankful Thursday

Guess what we had for dinner tonight? Chicken fried steak strips, mashed potatoes and grilled zucchini. We're so thankful that all the veggies for dinner were from our garden. See the little plate? That's for Sierra and me.
We had to wait patiently until Mommy and Daddy ate their food. I never took my eyes off the yummy-ness that was coming.
Sierra ate hers too too fast and all her pictures came out blurry. Our steak strips were super duper yummy.

Sierra's Scoop

Happy Tuesday, Everyone! I hope you're all having a great week. It's been really hot for the past week and all I can think about is being back in Lake Tahoe. It's much cooler there. There are some warm days too. But when it gets too hot we can just head on over to the Lake and go for a little dip. See the Lake behind me? Isn't it gorgeous? I hope we can go back soon! What are some of your favorite places to go?

Today we...

harvested some potatoes.
Aren't they pretty? Mommy used some of them for pot roast tonight.
The zucchini never stop growing. I see lots of bread and grilling this week for Mommy. Harvesting sure is fun!
How did you spend your Monday?

Week twenty one in the garden

Look at our first watermelon coming in!!!
The sweet potatoes have finally produced slips and are almost ready to transplant.
Our zucchinis are growing like crazy. We get atleast a handful a week. Mommy has been making lots and lots of zucchini bread. Did I mention that Mommy and Daddy have grilled zucchini almost every night?
Can you see our first corn?
And these are our first two cantaloupe.
Look at the size of those cucumbers!
We are starting to see lots and lots of little green tomatoes. Mommy is very happy.
This is our third batch of turnips.
Our perilla and mint are growing really, really well. Mommy can't make tea fast enough to keep up with all the mint.

Mommy and Daddy...

... woke up and left really early today. Mommy said they had a lot to do and it would be way too hot outside for Sierra and I to go with them. It seemed like more than nine hours but that's what Daddy said it was. Grandpa stayed home with us today because he loves us so much. He gave us our lunch cookies right on time and also let us outside whenever we needed. Mommy said she was going to bring home a big surprise for me and I couldn't wait. I thought about all the yummy things she has brought me in the past. Boy oh boy was I surprised all right. Have you ever tasted a fresh picked blueberry? I thought the frozen ones were little berries from heaven but oh no, I was wrong. The heavenly ones come from Jessop Farms in Ripon, CA. They are one of our snack time favorites, can you tell?

Fun on a Friday

Daddy thought it would be fun to hide my Chuck It ball in his guitar case. Come on, Daddy, do you really think I can't see that little bit of orange sticking out?
Of course I had no problem finding it or going after it.
Mission accomplished!

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for all the good eats from the Eskie meet this past Saturday. Mommy made peanut butter cookies for all the pups.
Don't they look tasty? Everyone said they were yummy. I'm not a fan of crunchy cookies so I didn't want to try them.
Ramses' Mommy found an all organic restaurant called the Silverado Brewing Company. Daddy ordered Fish and Chips.
Mommy ordered BBQ ribs. Yes, they were both very, very tasty!
We had to stop at the Bouchon Bakery to get some macarons. If you haven't had one, they are a must!
